Piece of Great Architecture

Architecture chosen : Château de Chenonceau in Central France 
This building in France was built between 1513 and 1517 by Thomas Bohier along with his wife, Catherine Briconne. It is an interesting piece of architecture as it was heavily highlighted to involve a strong succession of women who built, embellished and restored the building. Its name alludes to 'the ladies Chateau' due to the influence of women upon the architecture of this building.
